Mindbender is an animation company and full production studio. Founded 2006 in the woods of Sweden by Michael Bengtsson, Calle Halldin, Olov Burman and Tony Österlund. We have always been insanely passionate about striving for higher artistic and technical excellence, yet it is within storytelling our heart lies.
Today we feel fortunate to work with some of the world's greatest visionary artists, and blessed to have such great clients and partners. Remarkably, interest in true service mentality, adding value, and passion to make the most of each project is something that grows year by year.

Someone wise once said that it is more important to be interesting than impressive, as the second will eventually fade, while the first is timeless. We love creating awe inspiring visuals, it is considered our guilty pleasure in fact, yet it means little if the core message is not clear and told in an emotionally engaging way.
With this as first priority we first take keen interest in understanding our client's identity, intent and audience. Then we build the from there, working together to create characters and story that is not only memorable in their own right, but simultaneously tailored to communication. Working in the short format, experience has taught us that it is not possible to fit the entire sixteenth symphony into a 60 second commercial slot, believe us we have tried, but it is possible to play a few, carefully selected notes exceptionally well.

There is just something with making inanimate objects move. It is our foundation, and what once got us started. While in love with the technicalities and tools of the trade, we put equal focus into researching classic acting, timing and comedy. It is quite the science, why a particular piece of dialog does not create laughter at all in a particular situation, yet is immensely funny in the next.
